In a jointly organised event in Lodz on the 14th April Contifibre and Invista presented to a wide range of Polish hosiery producers the latest LycraŽ development collection. Ebru Pirinçcioglu, LycraŽ Legwear Marketing Manager Eastern Europe, also presented the LycraŽ marketing strategy and the most recent activities focused on brand protection. She also promoted the new trend direction with latest innovation in term of yarns as:
Black lycraŽ fibre, already a proven success in intimate apparel can now be found in legwear. This innovative new fibre offers improved wash fastness (less fading), unique optical effects when used a patterning yarn , less grin through and a more natural appearance and even allows over dyeing pastel shades.
TactelŽ Fresh FX fibre offers durable freshness and superior colour performance for whites and pastels. This technology uses a non migratory silver based antimicrobial polyamide yarn designed to inhibit the appearance of odour causing bacteria.
LYCRAŽ T-179M fibre delivers softer stretch and recovery, excellent shape retention, true-to-size appearance, thermal memory, uniformity, all with standard knitting and finishing conditions.
LYCRAŽ body care technology continues to offer consumer wellbeing benefits. This technology delivers fibre and fabric innovation to achieve benefits of freshness, massaging moisturisation and aromatherapy.
SENSATION is the latest addition of Body care family and offers a new line of aromatherapy benefits. Three scents have been created to capture different moods-tranquillity (geranium, lavander and patchouli), balance(ylang-ylang, jasmine and sandalwood) and energy (grapefruit and bergamot).
Besides, Ms, Pirinçcioglu said: <The LYCRAŽ brand continues to drive high performance in legwear and offers a range of innovative ideas under the theme positive energy. These offer real benefits to the wearer leaving legs invigorated and overall leg wellbeing enhanced.
Energising socks with LycraŽ fibre heve graduated compression to help ensure circulation throughout the leg – ideal for people on their feed all day.
Leg Care with LycraŽ fibre works on the same model with hosiery. Graduated compression at the key areas enhances overall circulation and wellbeing.>
adding: < as costumers continue to demand more from their legwear both in terms of design and style but, also, tangible wellbeing benefits, the LycraŽ brand portfolio offers even more value as:
Soft Comfort LycraŽ fibre uses proprietary technology to ensure superior comfort and softness and can be used on panty parts and shaping hosiery to create dangerous courves, with gradual compression, for gentle massaging and in the the top of socks and knee-high.
Performance is delivered through CORDURAŽ high tenacity yarn combined with LYCRAŽ fibre for abrasion resistance in the heel and toe of the sock. It can be also used to enhance durability in semi-sheer hosiery.
Freshness benefits comes from TactelŽ Fresh FX which when combined with LycraŽ fibre in socks and tights offers long lasting freshness.
The polish hosiery industry is second only to Italy in terms of installed knitting capacity and over the last few years the focus has moved from commodity production for the local or ex Soviet markets to a more sophisticated range of items for both local and west European customers.
Contifibre has been present in Poland for a number of years selling both the full range of polyamide textured, flat and covered items together with the distribution of bare LycraŽ and has seen significant sales growth. Based on the successful partnership seen in Poland together with similar agreements already in place in France and UK Contifibre will, over the coming months, be taking over LycraŽ distribution responsibility for a wide range of Eastern European countries together with central Europe (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and Scnadinavia so strengthening it’s position as a leading supplier of branded speciality yarns to the European textile industry. |
